What do I need to bring to the signing appointment?

Thank you for being prepared! To ensure a smooth and successful appointment, please bring the following:

Valid Photo ID – A government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license, passport, or state ID (must be current, not expired). Your name should also match the document. If your ID is in your maiden name and the document is in your married name, you will need to bring your marriage or divorce certificate as well.

*Don't have an ID? You can bring 2 credible witnesses that have their valid IDs to validate your ID

All Pages of the Document – Even if only one page needs notarizing, the full document should be present.

Unsigned Documents – Please do not sign the document beforehand; it most cases it is best practice to be signed in front of the notary.

Witnesses (if required) – If your document needs witnesses and you are not using the notary to provide them, please bring them along with valid IDs. In most cases, best practice is to use witnesses that are not related to you. Different last names and different addresses.

What state do you offer Remote Online Notary Services in?

I'm authorized to provide Remote Online Notarization (RON) services in the state of Florida, where I’m commissioned and registered as an online notary. While I must be physically located in Florida at the time of your notarization, you can be anywhere—whether you're traveling, on vacation, visiting family out of state, or even living overseas.

Florida has enacted laws permitting RON, allowing notaries to perform notarizations over the internet using audio-visual technology .(legalclarity.org, remotenotaryexperts.com) While RON is legal in most U.S. states, including Florida, the acceptance of remote notarizations can vary depending on the state where the document will be used.

Some states may have specific limitations on the types of documents that can be notarized remotely or may require additional steps for recognition . To ensure your remotely notarized document will be accepted, please consult the laws and regulations of the state where the document will be filed or used. Additionally, it's advisable to check with the recipient—be it a business, agency, or individual—to confirm that they accept remote online notarizations for your specific document.

If you have any questions or need assistance navigating these requirements, feel free to reach out. I'm here to help!
